Capt. Gary Kearns grew up in Portland, ME. He is a Registered Maine Guide with inland fishing, recreational and tidewater endorsements and a licensed OUPV Captain. He grew up fishing Portland's State Pier on the weekends with his late father and looked forward each year to a bass fishing trip "up North" with his uncle. Continuing to bass fish for many years, his fishing picked up in intensity in his late twenties as a fly fishing obsession began to brew. The sport has taken him to many places from warm waters of the Florida Keys for tarpon to remote rivers in Alaska chasing Pacific Salmon. Living on the coast of Maine pursuing striped bass on foot, he bought a boat to find the ones out of reach that ended up opening up an entirely new world for him. On the ocean and the beautiful lakes of Maine, heI developed an even deeper love for how the water's solitude feeds the soul. A slow day on the water is better than any day in the office and can provide healing away from the shores of stress. Sharing and exploring the water with his wife and kids has been a blessing.

Gina Kearns-Haydock grew up in Easton, MA with a family well versed in entrepreneurship. She was a competitive figure skater for close to 15 years of her life. When she wasn't on the ice or in school, she was busy working in our family owned jewelry store, which set the stage for her constant need to own or create businesses and clubs of her own. She spent her college years building the first ever figure skating team at her university and went on to own a jewelry party company alongside her sister. Her second passion is for baking which led her to own a small bakery, helping people to celebrate life's special moments. Before meeting Gary she had spent limited time on the water and has now come to appreciate the beauty of nature that can be found off shore and the healing powers it can have on a person's soul. She enjoys sharing experience's with her children and teaching them about what the life we have created has to offer - a world filled with possibility and adventure.
Capt. Gary and Gina hope that Nautical Remedy can provide an opportunity for you, your family and your friends to come together and experience the same.
