-Meet Gary Kearns, Gina Kearns-Haydock and Their Little Skippahs-

My name is Gary Kearns I grew up in Portland, ME fishing the State Pier on the weekends with my late father and looked forward each year to a bass fishing trip "up North" with my uncle. Continuing to bass fish for many years, my fishing picked up in intensity in my late twenties as a fly fishing obsession began to brew. The sport has taken me many places from warm waters of Florida Keys for Tarpon to remote rivers in Alaska chasing Pacific Salmon. Living on the coast of Maine pursuing striped bass on foot, I bought a boat to find the ones out of reach. That vessel ended up opening up an entirely new world for me. On the ocean and the beautiful lakes of Maine, I developed an even deeper love for how the water's solitude feeds the soul. Fish or no fish, a day on the water is better than any day in the office and can provide healing away from the shores of stress. Sharing and exploring the water with my wife and kids has been a blessing. I am Registered Maine Fishing, Recreation and Tidewater Guide and am currently pursuing my Captain's License to expand Nautical Remedy into saltwater chartering.

My name is Gina Kearns-Haydock and I grew up in Easton, MA with a family well versed in entrepreneurship. I was a competitive figure skater for close to 15 years of my life. When I wasn't on the ice or in school, I was busy working in our family owned jewelry store, which I believe set the stage for my constant need to own or create businesses and clubs of my own. I spent my college years building the first ever figure skating team at my university and went on to own a small jewelry party company alongside my sister. My second passion is for baking which led me to own a small bakery, helping people to celebrate life's special moments. Before meeting Gary I had spent limited time on the water and boy was I missing out! I have come to appreciate the beauty of nature that can be found off shore and the healing powers it can have on your soul. I love sharing the experience with our 3 children and teaching them about what we both have to offer - a world filled with possibility and adventure. I hope that Nautical Remedy provides an opportunity for you, your family and your friends to come together and experience the same.
